Attended Lora's birthday party at The Sail the day before take off. Pretty view from the top. Our self-made gift box. Pro eh.

Then it was off to tropical Bali. It was the monsoon period, so it rained half the time. I'm not complaining since I hate the sunlight. Reached our humble pie-hole, Bamboo Bed & Breakfast. Had our supper and booze before calling it a night.
Day 1
Went surfing the next day at Kuta beach. Unlike Sanur, there were alot of hot surfers romping this beach. We almost got ourselves killed by the waves. But it was so much fun.
Went to the hip and upmarket Australian-managed place, Ku de ta for dinner.

Didn't make a reservation so we had to wait 1.5hrs for a table. We hung out at the outdoor patio. The wind and waves were crazy.
Finally seated.
Our entrees, my quail and his squid ink angel hair pasta. Darling got so dissappointed at himself for ordering the wrong dish for me. I don't blame you hon, it was the waiter's fault. Hah
Both of us had the steak with foie gras. Too full for desserts again...
The streets of Kuta at night.
Day 2
Say hello to our private tour guide, Dana.
Took the 12 hours tour. First stop, a coffee plantation.
Pretty passion fruit
Roasting the coffee beans
Coffee and chocolate tasting
Squirrel-like animal, Luwak, that eats the coffee beans and passes it out for maufacturing. Apparently the coffee is more fragrant and rich. Too expensive to buy though :(
Kintamani Lake and Volcano. Had lunch somewhere that overlooked Mount Batur. Brrr...
Oh man, I gotta get my cam fixed. Something is stuck inside the lens.
Rice terraces in Ubud.
Hello
Stole a pic of a statue on the way and one of the larger temple in Bali.
Somewhere along the journey we visited a silver and wood carving factory.
Beautiful Ulu Watu to watch the sunset and Kecak dance. Lots of horrible monkeys on the way up hill. Almost stole my camera. I would have killed it if Balinese didn't worship animals so much. TMD.
Halfway through the dance, there was a huge thunder storm. Everyone started screaming and running like it was the end of the world. I just stood there laughing at the scene while ma lord was struggling with his umbrella. People should just chill, you know. Had to walk down hill in the rain back to our car.
Our last stop was to Jimbaran Bay for an expensive but very unappetising seafood dinner. Damn sad-ed 'cause we had to have our dinner indoors. If not for the rain, we could have watched the sunset by the beach.
And that marks the end of our Kuta stay.
